Violet Punch is the result of a last-minute outfit I pulled together last Sunday to attend an event in New York.
I was in the mood for some winey colors that day, so I gathered up some key elements to create this look.
I chose to wear these patterned violet pants I have had in my closet for quite a while now. Then I added this off-white puffy sleeved blouse from Express (which by the way I really looove ♥).
The whole idea was to balance it out by wearing busy elements at the bottom with simple and classy ones on the top.
I am not simple at all, so I like to wear eccentric garments, but we all know there’s gotta be poise and equilibrium in an outfit.
Of course, without losing your style…
New York is just so beautiful! It was a delightful afternoon, totally enjoyed the weather by walking its singular streets and admiring its distinctive architecture.
I am Jersey girl, but I love going to the City when I get that feeling of being away from the calmness and bosky environment.
The Violet Punch look is perfect for an afternoon Autumn day in the City. And if it gets cold perhaps you can add a leather-looking jacket!
I put my hair in a ponytail to create a clean look on the top for two reasons: one because the bottom looked too busy already, and two because I also wanted my necklace to show.
The touch of brown adds a different hue to the entire outfit, and I think it actually worked because it throws off the whole wine and violet bundle.
Loving this necklace! You can detach the top part if you want, converting it into a more simple looking one! 😯
To complete the look, I added this purplish-violet lipstick: Heroine from MAC…definitely one of my faves ♥
Combine A Few Shades Of Winey Colors And Create A Violet Punch Outfit Perfect For An Autumn Afternoon! Perhaps Patterned Pants Paired With An Off-White Puffy Sleeved Blouse Could Make A Lovely Combo.
