Chiara Boni and her brand Chiara Boni La Petite Robe recently presented her new collection for Fall/Winter 2016-17 at New York Fashion Week portrayed by a cosmic, vibrant and futuristic motif in shades of reds, dusty blues and galactic prints.
I am a true fan of Chiara Boni; I love her elegant and ultra feminine style made for that contemporary woman who wants to look effortlessly chic, dynamic and cosmopolite.
She is a self-taught italian designer who has been in the fashion industry since the 1970’s. Chiara Boni La Petite Robe was established in 2007 and it began its international expansion in 2009 currently being sold in Europe, Russia, Middle East, Canada, and in the United States at stores like Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Her new collection for Fall/Winter 2016-17 features a spectrum of reds: burgundy, garnet, pomegranate, as well as interstellar prints like nebulas and planets, utilizing her signature stretch jersey fabric, organza, as well as the introduction of eco-leather, still stretchy and featuring fringes. We can appreciate proportions like asymmetric peplums, sculptural sleeves, seductive cut-outs, laser-cut lace patterns and dramatic draping.
We can also appreciate some sheer tulle inserts, rings and studs, all outlining and resembling interstellar rays of light and metallic constellations respectively.
Her signature style was present in every single piece, meaning always enhancing the female figure and the woman’s natural beauty. I think this is one of the main reasons why I love her designs so much.

Chiara Boni La Petite Robe At New York Fashion Week Presented Her Fall/Winter 2016-17 Chic Collection Inspired In Cosmic, Vibrant & Futuristic Motifs.
Chiara Boni was at Fashion Week NYC presenting her new Spring Summer 2016 Collection this past September.
I had the opportunity to attend her fashion show at the Artbeam in Chelsea. I was also able to be backstage previous to the show, and I must admit that I went crazy when I saw her collection laid-out across the room.
OMG! It was so vibrant, elegant and ladylike! I could not stop taking pictures and already imagining the show at the same time.
And just as I imagined, the runway show was outstanding! So perfect and delightful that you knew it was meticulously planned out.
Besides, everyone there was so impeccable and so well dressed! I loved it ♥
Chiara Boni La Petite Robe Spring/Summer 2016 Collection is inspired in the designer’s personal memories of fairies and blossom gardens captured and transcribed into dreamy/romantic, vibrant, modern, sophisticated and sweet feminine designs.
It features puffed peplums, cutouts, mermaid silhouettes, capes and svelte maillots subtly covered by embellished flowing trains; stretch jersey, tulle, embroideries and georgette fabrics in raspberry and peachy hues, as well as very classic and sophisticated black and white designs.
The musical highlight was represented by “92 Days”, a song specially composed by producer/composer Yakamoto Kotzuga for this fashion show.
Chiara Boni is an Italian designer who began her career in 1971 opening, in Florence, her first boutique where she proposed dresses designed by herself. She has created a cult following of women, from celebrities to television anchor personalities. La Petite Robe was born in 2007 and since then this Collection represents a choice of style at very competitive prices.
Her style is always elegant, timeless but always innovative.
Here a few of the shots I took myself at her SS16 Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week.

Chiara Boni Spring/Summer 2016 Collection Was Presented At Fashion Week NYC This September. Take A Look At Her Romantic, Vibrant And Sophisticated Designs!
Hair And Makeup play a big role when it comes to putting a look together, whether it is for streetstyle fashion or for a fashion runway.
Any designer’s collection, when presented, doubtlessly needs to be intertwined with the appropriate hairstyle and makeup, in order to ensure the success of the event.
I had the honor to be backstage with AVEDA and its awesome team for two fashion shows during this past New York Fashion Week SS16.
There I had the chance to experience what it’s like to prepare the look for every single model and see how hard work does pay off at the end.
For the purpose of a better understanding, I decided to brake this post in two parts: my experience at LATINISTA and at CHIARA BONI Spring-Summer 2016 New York Fashion Week.
1.- LATINISTA Fashion Week/Cesar Galindo & Milagros Batista – Hair
For this show the hair was represented by “The Party Pony”; a beautiful and versatile sleek ponytail with a twist of messiness in the front. Tippi Shorter, Aveda Global Artistic Director for Textured Hair, explains that “The look is a blend of two cool styles; there’s an undone crown with wispy pieces of hair framing the face and a sleek, finished and plumped up ponytail”.
In order to achieve the look, she followed these easy steps using these Aveda Hair Products:
The Party Pony
Steps To The Look
Step 1: On dry hair, spray Aveda Thickening Tonic until hair is damp.
Step 2: Begin taking 1” sections of hair and gently twirl from root to end and set for texture.
Step 3: Once all hair is twirled in sections, take one piece at a time, and blow dry. Lay the dried sections over the face to create volume at the roots while continuing to dry remaining sections.
Step 4: Flip the dried twirls back and with a small amount of Light Elements™ Defining Whip™ in hands, gently unravel the twirls and massage hair to create added textured at the crown.
Step 5: Pull hair into low ponytail ensuring the top has volume. Secure with a bungee. Wrap a small section of hair around bungee and secure with a pin under the ponytail.
Step 6: Spray ponytail with Aveda Brilliant™ Shine-on Spray, then flat-iron the ponytail smooth.
Step 7: Finish with a light mist of Aveda Control™ Force Firm Hair Spray.

To engage with the collection, Aveda Guest Artist Jon Reyman created the “Flowering Rose Bud”, which consists of pretty layers of textured hair, accented with sleek modern finger waves framing the face on both sides.
John Reyman explained that “The slick waves emulated the look of rose petals, and organically transitioned into free-flowing hair that was little wild and natural, like a blooming flower.”
In order to achieve the look, he followed these easy steps using these Aveda Hair Products:

Steps To The Look
Step 1: Prep hair with a liberal misting of Aveda Thickening Tonic and blow dry hair for texture.
Step 2: With hair parted down the center, apply a generous amount of Aveda Brilliant™ Retexturizing Gel to the top half of head to create the wet appearance.
Step 3: On the right side, begin forming a traditional finger wave from the top of the part going down to the back of the ear. Set each waved section with a clip. Repeat on the left side.
PRO TIP: Place a playing card under each clip to avoid ridging on the hair.
Step 4: Once done, place a stocking cap on clipped waves to further set style.
Step 5: With the top drying, begin wrap hair that is hanging loose around a ¾” barrel curling rod.
Step 6: Use a wide-tooth comb to pull out the freshly set curls for a flowing loose wave.
Step 7: Apply new Aveda Shampure™ Dry Shampoo (Available November 1, 2015) on the back for added texture and remove the cap and clips. Let the finger waves hang naturally.
Aveda Global Artist Director for Makeup Janell Geason created the “Flower in Bloom” Makeup Look, consisting of a soft pink and orangey shades.

Daniel Silverstain Spring/Summer 2016 Runway Show took place last Wednesday at Shop Studios NYC, where he presented his most recent and breathtaking collection.
Daniel Silverstain is an Israeli designer based in New York City who gets inspired by the architecture and art of the mid-20th century (era of hi-technology and industrialism) interlocked with aims for innovation and futurism, creating a range of simplified shapes that compliment the female body and give it a sophisticated, yet comfortable look.
“I design to inspire women to be bold, to be courageous, to standout, and to create a story of their own”.
Daniel Silverstain Spring Summer 2016 Collection
“In 1967, everything was wonderful. It was the year of love and the year of Expo 67”.
His Spring Summer 2016 collection is a combination of neutrals used as framework, embellished with a splash of an energetic palette of primary colors well structured.
I love how he captures the vintage air of Expo 67 and transforms it into a futuristic collection made for that bold woman who doesn’t mind to stand out and make a statement.
“It tells the story of the world’s future from the angle of the most successful world’s fair of the 20th century – Expo67. With high sense of optimism, Montreal turned to a hotbed of culture, where individuals could tour the world in a few hours, and get a look at the future from the point of view of 62 different countries.
This monumental event not only placed Montreal on a global center stage, but was also the catalyst for the city’s development into one of the most cosmopolitan and distinct cities in the world.
The impressive dimensions of modern decors, and innovative architecture that reshaped the city of Montreal, inspired the collection, which focused on the hub of cultures with futuristic essence.”
As I said before, the color pallet of the season is built on neutral hues with contrast shapes of primary colors, representing national flags. Lace and crochet textiles are coated in metallic gloss, and intricate multi-yarn jacquards are mixed with natural wovens, creating soft and relaxed silhouettes.”
