Mother’s Day is almost here! Probably you still need to get a couple of presents and don’t know what to get. At least I have until the end of the month to get my mom’s present, and that is because us Dominicans celebrate Mother’s Day on the last Sunday of May. But if you are celebrating it this Sunday you are kind of late. Gladly I have a few solutions for you to help you choose a great last minute Mother’s Day gift.

1. Orchid Plant-  Orchid plants express exotic character and delicate beauty. Orchid is the most highly coveted of ornamental plants. This flower symbolizes love, luxury, beauty and strength. They are a long-lasting and particularly elegant type of flower, making them the perfect gift for many occasions. Their graceful appearance draws immediate attention, and their reputation as an exotic and unusual flower evokes a sense of refinement and innocence. You could certainly get them at a florist, Home Depot and Lowe’s.

2. Necklace / Earrings Set. And I would say jewelry in general, but being that is a last minute gift, maybe you don’t know ring sizes; maybe you don’t want them to go to the trouble of having to go back to the store to re-size bracelets and watches. That is why I chose a necklace and / or an earrings set. Also necklaces are known for creating a bond that could be passed from generation to generation, and to me that is just beautiful. Any Department Store like Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, etc. will definitely have the perfect set. I personally recommend pearls. Nothing more exquisite than pearls! But you could also opt for Fashion Jewelry as well, for all of those modern and young moms who love stylish jewelry.

3. Perfume Set. Very popular, because very rare you go wrong with this option. Also most of the time there is someone at the store to help you pick the right one according to age, sex and popularity.
