Lips 2013 are breaking the rules in makeup. Forget about glossy and shinny lips and get in the mood for matte and flawless colors. Spring/Summer runways prognosticated bright and neon lips this 2013. Lipsticks are a makeup essential product that is part of almost every woman’s bag. Although is true that glosses took over the lipstick’s spotlight for a while, lipsticks now make their comeback to reassure their importance in the enhancement of a woman’s beauty. Lipsticks are definitely an asset when it comes to complimenting any look. This year we have a diversity of shades to choose from, going from eye catching corals to intense and impressive pinks. Nude and neutral colors are still IN, if paired with dramatic eyes.
Here you got the most impactful and outstanding colors for beautiful Summer Lips 2013!
I consider a Spring Outfit to be so energetic and full of life, since there is a huge variety of beautiful colors to pick from. I am a strong believer of the color influence in our mood and attitude, that is why it is important to always dress in light, bright or vivid colors. This week I chose to create a spring outfit making use of some light and intense colors, mixing solid with patterns. This spring outfit is also super casual and comfortable, I call it my shopping look, because it is perfect to go out shopping on a beautiful spring day, feeling fresh, comfy and stylish. I chose solids for the bottom and patterns for the top, wearing royal blue leggings along with a plaid long sleeves loose top (For sale at Lakshmi’s Closet). We all know leggings are super comfy and worn along with a loose long sleeves top, it definitely creates the ideal casual and comfortable look. I also added loafers, which I think are great, because not only they add style to the outfit, but they’re also the perfect choice for a layback look. Of course, I am also wearing heels to give you the option to dress it up as well. To complement the whole look, I added this colorful fedora hat, which features a bow in the back, and I also picked this crossbody bag in Aqua, adding a little bit of contrast. The accessories I chose to wear are all in Gold.
Royal Blue Leggings L.O.L.A. from Burlington Coat Factory $2.99; Vintage Long Sleeves Plaid Loose Top (for sale at Lakshmi’s Closet) $10; Tan Studded Loafers from Mandee ($20); Tazed Too Pumps from Fergie Footwear in Graphite; Mint Chained Bag from Mandee $20; Striped Woven Fedora from Claire’s$16 $11; Gold Links Necklace from GemStylez.com; Gold with Light Pink Studs Earrings from Mandee ($6.00); Silver/Gold Bracelet from Simply Vera, Vera Wang at Kohl’s; Gold Finger Ring from Forever 21.

Life has been great and I am back on track little by little with my posting routine. Today I want to talk about self esteem. Lately I have seen a lot of people going through some issues in regards to their self esteem and I have come to realize that a lot of the conflicts among people, somehow have to do low and poor self esteem. I have seen some people really depressed, feeling they are not worthy; these I call passive. And I have seen others act the opposite, really mean and vindictive, since they take everything personal and believe the whole world is against them. Those I call aggressive. The truth is that no one else but yourself is responsible for everything that goes on in your life. Low self esteem people could become envious and jealous of everyone around them, since they are always going to try to compare themselves to others, envying all the good that happens to other people, wishing all that good would actually happen to them.
Do not confuse this with being upset over something. As human beings we are prompt to go through bad moments and feel down. To me, this is normal. The key is not to stay in that mode for too long. We need to snap out of it, if not, we take the risk to connect ourselves to all the negative vibe in our surroundings, and then not only it will be harder to come out of it, but we could certainly adopt negative behaviors and definitely start attacking and hurting others, most of the time the closest people to us. This is why it is so important to build and raise your self esteem.
I put together a few great tips to get you started:
5 Tips to Raise your Self Esteem
1. Stop the comparison game. Every time you compare yourself to others, you tend to develop envy and jealousy. Accept yourself for who you are and what you have. You could always better yourself, so there is no need to be looking around paying attention to what others are, have or do.
2. Identify your Good Qualities. Write down all the good and positive things about yourself, and read your list often. This will help you build your confidence and stop putting yourself down.
3. Read or listen to positive literature. Feed your mind and your soul with positive thinking. This could make you change your thought process, since you will actually learn that everything is possible, therefore anything is achievable, if you make the decision.
4. Give. The more you give, the more valuable you will feel. And this does not only pertain to money. I am referring to serving others by doing things for them, like favors, contributing to the community, etc. But don’t do things for others to later around use them to your advantage, to throw it in their face or to expect something in return. That is not the real meaning on giving. In that case, you are better of not doing anything at all. If the action of giving is being conditioned, then this one will be worthless.
5. Associate with positive people. Nothing like being surrounded by people with great energy and vibe. Every time you are around positive people, you definitely recharge with good energy feeling good about yourself.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms who are or have been really dedicated to their children. They are truly an example of what unconditional love really is. Today I bring you my Coral Springs – Mother’s Day Look 2013, which is suitable for moms of almost any age, I would say. Shirtdresses are a timeless trend that is appropriate for young and older women. This is the reason why I picked this stunning shirtdress, which resembles classiness and modernism at the same time. It features a modern pattern in coral, beige and white, perfect for Spring. I paired it with pumps from Fergie in a faded taupe color, and a white clutch from GUESS, because I wanted to keep the look with the same colors. I am wearing gold accessories, but that is my personal choice, you can certainly wear them in silver as well. To add a soft contrast, I painted my nails in a lilac color, matching the rhinestones of my set of bracelets.
Two-Pocket Belted Shirtdress from New York & Company$64.95 $32.47; Tazed Too Pumps from Fergie in Graphite; White Clutch from GUESS; Gold with Light Pink Studs Earrings from Mandee ($6.00); Set of Two-Toned Bracelets and Two-Toned Square Ring from Mon Rêve Jewelry; Gold Watch; Plain Gold Ring from Aldo.

Statement Necklaces are the perfect piece to add drama and some serious glam to any outfit. This one piece of jewelry could really alter and change your entire look; therefore it is important to take into consideration a few rules. When wearing a big and bold necklace, always make sure to keep the rest of your look sober and polished, so pick a simple top in a solid color that does not feature an over elaborated neckline. Also do not wear a lot of jewelry. Pair your necklace with small earrings, maybe studs, and a medium size bracelet. You could wear your hair loose or in a bun or a ponytail for more of a sleek look. In regards to the makeup, you could certainly wear some smokey eyes paired with nude lips, or you could opt for a bold lipstick / naked eyes combination instead. This way, you will allow your necklace take the spotlight and make the statement. Just keep in mind that statement necklaces do not necessarily need to be worn when dressing up, they could also be added to any casual outfit like a tee and some jeans.
Here you have the most impactful and glamorous statement necklaces 2013 – Summer styles:
Nautical Style evokes classiness, timeless and Summer! This is the type of trend that is always present when Spring and Summer arrive because it’s a classic that exudes sophistication no matter how casual you dress. We all know Navy Blue, White and Red are the main colors for the Nautical Style, then patterns and insignias could play a big role. For this week I chose to mainly play with these three colors and create the look that I am presenting you today. Everything started with my desire of wearing white pants. I think white pants are so elegant and summery when chosen wisely. I highly recommend to always pick them in a thick fabric and well-made, since white is a delicate color that could make us look elegant, but it could also emphasize our imperfections if we don’t choose wisely. I also chose to wear this unique navy blue top, which I think it favors my figure really good, since it gives the illusion of a longer torso and a smaller waist, and that is because of the peplum flare created by the two ruffles right by my hips. I chose to add a singular animal print pattern to this look just to be a little different, and you could appreciate it on my strappy sandals. I also love the crochet detail on the platform! I think this makes these sandals look different and unique. To add a pop of color to the look, I added this bright red bag and this is when the whole nautical style takes place. I decided to wear gold accessories and the ones I picked really complement the whole outfit. They belong to Kasandra Outerwear (229 East 116th Street, New York, NY 10029) and its site www.GemStylez.com, which is an online and also physical store located in New York. They focus on the more stylish and trendiest accessories, offering celebrities inspired jewelry at very affordable prices.

Maybelline EyeStudio Duo Eyeshadow (Khaki Craze); Big Fatty Mascara from Urban Decay; Bronzer from Bobbi Brown (brownie); REVLON Lipstick (nude attitude); Studio Tech Foundation & Studio Fix Compact Powder from MAC Cosmetics; Nail color from Essie (Fiesta).
Nautical Style is one of the classic trends of Summer. Always IN! To learn how to achieve it, just watch my Video Tutorial!
At that time I chose to work with color blocking and I decided to pair this peplum top with royal blue skinny jeans. The combination is a little unusual, since most people would pair this aqua blue color with regular colors like black and white. Why not be daring playing with the color blocking trend, combining the aqua blue with fuchsia, orange, peach, light pink, yellow, etc. But if you are more conservative, then feel free to add white pants or a black skirt to it and you would still look gorgeous.
How to Wear this Mandee Peplum Top
This top is made out of a comfy light stretchy cotton material, and as you can see in this picture, it offers an intriguing open back that also features a black strap across (which you could use to hide a neutral bra).
Peplums look great with pants, jeans and pencil skirts. Always try to pair peplum tops with bottoms that accentuate your figure, to give the impression of a longer torso and longer legs. As I had said in the past, peplums tend to favor our silhouette, since they give the impression of a smaller waist.
I would also recommend to have your hair up, so the open back could really show. So maybe try a donut bun, like the one I have in the picture, a messy bun tied to the back of your neck or simply your loose hair pushed to one side!
Peplum tops look great with flats or heels, but if you really want to look curvy and stunning, I would recommend heels on!
Regarding the accessories, I would definitely add a statement bracelet, earrings depending on your hair style (if you’re wearing a bun wear studs; if your hair is loose wear long earrings). I personally don’t like to add necklaces, unless it’s a statement necklace, in that case make sure to wear small earrings.
And last but not least, if you are going out during the day, make sure to add some oversized sunglasses to the look, and voilà!
This Stylo is part of the Streetwear looks that once in while I like to create. I have been super tired this week and as I say in my video, I did not want to dress up at all. I wanted to stay comfortable, therefore I decided to create this comfy and lay back look. I have gotten these leggings along with the top at Mandee before going on vacation and I am so glad I did, because today I was able to wear them together and feel extremely comfortable but stylish as well. As I always say, you don’t have to dress up in order to look stylish and catch everyone’s attention, you could dress down picking the right garments and still make a fashion statement. I love these black leggings, since the fabric is really soft but thick and the top is just awesome! I felt in love with it as soon as I saw it, because of the tiger face. I dressed in all black, which makes the tiger face stand out even more. I chose a donut bun, cat eyes and hot pink lips because I needed a simple hairstyle and makeup that would not make me spend hours creating. I chose to wear black booties and I also give you a second option, which is wearing these neon hot pink flats, matching my lips and my nails. I love the pop of hot pink in my Outfit!
Black Leggings and Tiger Face Top from Mandee; Black Patent Booties from Jessica Simpson; Neon Hot Pink Flats ($20) from Mandee; Bag in Black from GUESS; Oversized Stud Earrings in Black from Mandee; Gold Cuff Watch from the Sofia Vergara’s Collection; Black Studded Cuff & Black Spiked Cuff from Mandee; Blue/Gold Rectangular Ring from Mandee; Plain Gold Ring from Aldo; Oversized Sunglasses in Brown from Mandee.

Nail color from Essie (Play Date).
The perfect Streetwear look for when you want to feel comfortable yet super stylish. Just put on some leggings along with an eyecatching comfy top and voilà!
Today I want to talk about Hawaii in regards to its culture, nature and fauna. I am sharing with you some pictures I took, because I feel sometimes words can’t even explain what an image could transmit by just looking at it. Hawaii is an island group located in the central Pacific Ocean and it is configured by 8 main islands, which are: Ni’ihau, Kaua’i, O’ahu, Moloka’i, Lāna’i, Kaho’olawe, Maui and the island of Hawai’i
I visited O’ahu, specifically Honolulu which is the capital of Hawaii, and I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, an awesome resort / spa with 18 restaurants and lounges, as well as over 90 shops and boutiques! I was fascinated with the stores and my shopping experience.
Hawaii presents a diverse population where you could find people from all over the world. Still, its original culture is very much alive and active. As any island, people are super friendly and lay back and also love to surf. You are surrounded by palm trees, exotic plants, flowers, birds and animals. Its nature and fauna are incredibly colorful and attractive.
I could spend hours writing about Hawaii. I was delighted by the beautiful weather, gorgeous beaches and the awesome oceanfront view I was lucky to have from my room. I was one who never cared for making that kind of request, but now that I was able to enjoy waking up to the sound of the waves every morning, the beautiful breeze invading my room every night, while listening to a live band, snuggled by soft linens and half way asleep… now that I got to appreciate such an incredible relaxation, an oceanfront view request will be a must!
I will leave you with some awesome pictures I took that really captured Hawaii’s exotic nature and fauna!
As all you know I was in Hawaii for 7 days enjoying a well deserved vacation and I recently came back, tired than before but very grateful for being able to get to know a beautiful paradise located so far away from where I live. I am planning on posting some pictures about the nature and fauna of this gorgeous place along with some other interesting pictures that capture its memorable culture. Today I chose to share with you some of the looks I wore while I was on vacation in Hawaii. I stayed at a Resort so my wardrobe went according to the Resort Casual dress code appropriate for the place and the weather. The key relies on dressing comfortable, lay back but not sloppy. If you’re going on vacation, make sure to dress super casual, but always keeping in mind details like color combination, accessories, easy hairdo’s and makeup. I personally created a log with every look I was going to create everyday (daytime & nighttime). To me, not only it’s easier to know ahead of time what you’re wearing, but it would preventing you from taking unnecessary stuff with you and save you time and headaches!
Vacation in Hawaii
Daytime Looks
In the morning I would have on a comfy summer dress with my bathing suit under, along with cute flip flops, sunglasses and a hat. (Dress from Forever 21; Fedora Hat from Wet Seal; Flip Flops from EXPRESS; bebe Sunglasses;)
Me with Buddha ♥
The whole key is to wear an eye-catching color or patterned summer dress along with statement accessories like a Fedora or a Cowboy Hat. (Dress from Hollister)
Here I chose to wear a cover up along with some shorts on top of my bikini. I love wearing hats, they not only make you look stylish, but they also protect your face and your hair from the sun and the water. (Cover Up & Fedora Hat from Mandee)
Why not wear a bright tan top along with your bathing suit?
Cowboy Hat from Mandee; Bathing Suit from Macy*s; Feather Earrings from bebe; Valentino Sunglasses.
Nighttime Looks
At nighttime I would wear a colorful dress as well, but a little more elegant, like this one from Kimora Lee Collection, paired with either heels or some chic sandals and way more accessories and a nice makeup!
I also adopted the Black and White Trend by wearing this Colorblock Dress from EXPRESS. I paired it with fuchsia Pumps, but here I am wearing flat sandals because I was already tired when I took this picture. I am also wearing a cardigan because it was a little chilly at night.
And here I am wearing the same dress I had on my Stylo of the Week 40♥ *Tropical Marchioness*. This was for sort of a formal dinner I assisted to. I paired it with my 5½ bebe white heels, my headpiece and a super dramatic makeup. (Dress from Love Culture; Headpiece from GoJane; Bag from Guess by Marciano)
And last I will leave you with a pic I took of a Boutique inside the Hilton Hawaiian Village, where I was staying, which caught my attention every time I passed by. They would change the mannequins clothes everyday!
I am thrilled to present you my awesome most recent project. I had the honor to work with Mandee, which is one of my favorites clothing line stores. I have been a Mandee Fan since I came to U.S. and to have been chosen to present you part of their new Spring Lookbook Collection it is truly a privilege and a dream come true. In this project I worked with six pieces that belong to this collection, but I also incorporated other Mandee garments that are available at their stores at this very moment. I chose to create a variety of looks according to a few different trends I consider to be super hot and stylish, and also taking into consideration the different styles and tastes of all of you, my Goddesses!
Look #1 – *SeaBlue Caribe*
Open Back Peplum Top in Aqua $24; Royal Blue Skinny Jeans; Oversized Brown Sunglasses. All from Mandee.
Be daring and play with the Colorblock Trend by combining bright colors. I chose to pair this beautiful Aqua Peplum Top (which belongs to the Mandee New Spring Lookbook Collection) along with Royal Blue Skinny Jeans. I also added drama and way more contrast by incorporating an orange clutch matching my lips, softening the look with white heels. I decided to put my hair in a donut bun to show the awesome open back this peplum top features complementing the look with this glamorous Oversized Sunglasses. I chose to pair my orange lipstick with a dramatic black cat eyeliner! I soooo love this look!!! Wear it for a beautiful spring or summer afternoon when you feel like catching everyone’s attention.
Look #2 – *Retro Romance*
Crochet Shorts in Peach (Spring Lookbook Collection) $24.99; Peter Pan Polka Dot Top $19.99 $14.99 from Mandee.
I chose to create sort of a retro romantic and super ladylike look with these gorgeous lace shorts. Lace resembles romance and paired with polka dots and a peter pan collar, I think it creates an incredible retro look that exudes sophistication and classiness. I chose to wear it in two different ways, one it’s more elegant and the other one is more casual and comfy. I picked gold accessories, loose wavy hair and kept the same makeup to maintain the drama within the whole look. You could definitely pull this off for any afternoon outing when you want to feel like a total posh pretty lady.
Look #3 – *Bohemian Soul*
Floral Top in Ivory $19.99 and Jacquard Denim Shorts $24.99 (Spring Lookbook Collection); Mint Chained Bag $20 from Mandee.
For this look I decided to pair both of these items together. They both resemble the well known Bohemian Trend or Boho. They feature an eye-catching floral pattern creating a super comfy and casual look perfect for daytime and for one of those days when you want to feel comfortable still looking stylish! I added heels because, as I say in my video, I wanted to look taller in front of the camera but you could certainly add a pair of cute sandals to complete the look. I decided to go a little heavier on the accessories, just like the Boho Style allows you to and I also chose them to be in gold. I added a headband to my wavy hair and kept the same makeup.
Look #4 – *Urban Chic Glamour*
Color Block Peplum Dress in Black/Royal (Spring Lookbook Collection) $19.99; Oversized Stud Earrings in Black from Mandee.
I am so in love with this Colorblock Peplum Dress from Mandee!!! As I say in Video Tutorial, this is the kind of dress every gal should have as part of their wardrobe, since it is perfect for almost any occasion. You could dress it up or dress it down; wear it for work or for a day or casual night time event. It is all going to depend on how you accessorize it. For my Stylo, I chose to wear it with red pumps, red clutch and red lips, along with a messy bun in the back of my neck. This is more of a vintage and classy look that could be worn for either work or a daytime outing. I highly recommend you to invest in this type of dress, as it will not only save you time when you are undecided, but it will also make you feel comfortable, since it will complement your figure big time, making you look and feel beautiful and stunning!
Look #5 – *Rocker Chic Glam*
Mono Block Tuxedo Pant in White/Black (Spring Lookbook Collection) $24; Motorcycle Style Jacket in Black $34.99; Oversized Sunglasses in Black, all from Mandee.
These Tuxedo Pants without a doubt make a statement in any outfit! You could pair them with a loose see-thru shirt, a peplum top or a blazer, in either black or white to adopt the Black and White Trend, or you could also pair them with a colorful top in either fuchsia, peach or mint, which are the colors of the season. I personally chose to create a look with some rock chic influence by wearing them along with this unique and eye-catching jacket also from Mandee. I love the fact that it kind of resembles a motorcycle leather jacket and that it also features a long back piece, recalling those Victorian uniform jacket from back in the days. I decided to wear my hair loose, with smokey eyes and nude lips, and silver accessories.
See the Outfits I create with the new Mandee Spring Lookbook Collection! Not sure how to accessorize them? I will tell you what, how and when to wear them.
Floral Leggings promise to be one of the hottest trends for this Summer 2013 and I couldn’t be happier to be able to wear them again. I remember owning a pair back in the days. I went to Mandee right before I went on vacation and I got me this pair of floral leggings in a beautiful mint color. They are super comfortable and stylish, just what I was looking for to complete my first day outfit for the super long 11 hours flight I had to take. I paired my leggings with this gray long sleeves loose top from EXPRESS made out of a lightweight fabric and also featuring an open back. For the flight I chose to wear gray studded flats, but today since I’m going to a get together later, I decided to wear the same outfit but this time I switched to heels instead of flats, adding my white wooden platform bebe heels. I also added this Rampage purple clutch that I got at Mandee a while back. I also picked a few flirty and colorful accessories to create contrast. Since I wanted to create a comfy lay back look I didn’t go heavy on the makeup. I chose to wear neutral eyeshadow colors along with a lilac lipstick and my hair put in a side ponytail.
Floral Leggings in a Mint color from Mandee ($12.99); Long Sleeve Drape Back Tee in Gray from EXPRESS ($29); White Heels with Wooden Platform from bebe; Rampage Purple Ruffle Clutch from Mandee; bebe Feather Earrings; Silver Chronograph Watch from GUESS; Buddha Bead Stretch Bracelet & Fleur de Lis Charm Stretch Bracelet from EXPRESS ($10); Turquoise Ring from Mandee; Valentino Sunglasses.
NAKED Palette from Urban Decay (Naked, Virgin & Sidecar); Big Fatty Mascara from Urban Decay; Bronzer from Bobbi Brown (brownie); MAC Cosmetics Lipstick (Asian Flower); Studio Tech Foundation & Studio Fix Compact Powder from MAC Cosmetics. Nail color from Essie (Play Date).

*Hawaiian Nights* is an summer outfit tutorial I decided to create while I’m still on vacation here in Hawaii. It’s the first time I come to this beautiful island and I’m loving it. It kind of reminds me my marvelous Dominican Republic, so it feels like home with the awesome weather, amazing sunrises and sunsets, gorgeous beaches, exotic flowers and of course, the iconic palm trees
This week I am actually not following my usual schedule for obvious reasons, but I couldn’t let this week go without posting my Stylo of the Week, therefore here you got my *Hawaiian Nights* Outfit Tutorial. I got this black jumpsuit as a gift before my trip, so I chose it to be the main garment for this Stylo. I feel is the perfect piece for a fresh, relaxed, yet superb and elegant look for a nightout in Hawaii! I paired it with my sexy summery white heels from bebe, which feature a 5.5 inch heel and wooden platform. I added my Marciano snakeprint black leather chained clutch along with gold and colorful pink and blue accessories. I chose to wear my hair loose with some soft curls halfway down for more of a natural look, and I also decided to add a cute hawaiian flower hairclip I bought here. My makeup is really simple. I used neutral eyeshadow colors along with black eyeliner and a soft lilac lipcolor.
Black Strapless Jumpsuit; White Heels with Wooden Platform from bebe; Black Snake Print Leather Clutch from Guess by Marciano ($138); Blue and Gold Earrings from Forever 21; Gold Cuff Watch from Sofía Vergara’s Collection; Gold Bracelet from Forever 21; Gold Finger Ring and Blue/Gold Rectangular Ring from Forever 21.

If you are very busy like me and are probably meaning to dye your roots but hasn’t got the chance, here you got some excellent ideas on how to camouflage your roots. They are very simple, easy and inexpensive awesome tips that will help you hold on until you have the chance to go to the beauty salon.
5 Ways to Camouflage your Roots
1. Split your hair in a zigzag, instead of making it straight. This is a very old trick that always works.
2. Use Dry Shampoo, as it will absorb the grease on your hair giving you more texture to create volume and camouflage your roots. Make sure not to apply it too close to your hair. Try Redken Powder Refresh 01 $14 or Suave Professional Dry Shampoo $3.49
3. Create Volume. Grab parts of your hair up and using a comb press up and down to create volume on your roots. This will help disguise your roots. Or you could also get a set of rollers.
4. Cover the roots by wearing a Headband. There are a huge variety of cute and super stylish headbands out there, perfect for every season!
5. A Slicked Back Bun. I personally use this trick a lot. This bun will make your hair look darker overall and it will hide your roots in general. I like to make it really tight and add hairspray or a little bit of gel.
If you know of any other tip to help camouflage your roots, feel free to share it with us. I picked the most cheap and easy ones, because the whole idea is not to do anything complicated or expensive, instead I rather to really make the time to go to the beauty salon
* Funky Black and White * is the result of a combination of a hot trend like it is right now white and black, with a pop of bright colors along with some unique and eye-catching garments. I’ve been wanting to wear white and also I’ve been dying to wear these houndstooth leggings that I got a Love Culture like a month ago. Houndstooth is one of my favorite patterns and this is one of the reasons why I felt in love with these leggings, as well as the thick fabric that they are made of, which favors my figure a lot, as it perfectly hugs my thighs and legs. I paired them with my white peplum (the same one I wore for my Stylo of the Week 7♥ *Christmas Look* back in 2011) along with a black skinny belt that came with it. Then I thought it was enough of black and white, that’s when I decided to incorporate a pop of bright colors and I chose Hot Pink and Royal Blue. I added my awesome bebe booties in royal blue as well as the eyeliner I am wearing, and an explosive hot pink lipstick along with my nails and lace socks I added. I am also wearing a outstanding statement necklace, but I would say this would be optional, as this is just part of my dramatic style; some people would consider it’s too much, but if you like drama in your style, then go ahead and add one! This Stylo would be perfect for an afternoon spring or summer outing. The colors look out of this world in the Sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
White Peplum from New York & Company; Houndstooth Leggings from Love Culture ($15.90); Taffy Blue Suede bebe Shoes; Lace Anklet Socks from Jessica Simpson in Désert ($8.00); Black Snake Print Leather Clutch from GUESS by Marciano ($138); Black & Silver Fringe Statement Necklace Set by Mon Rêve Jewelry; Silver Chronograph Watch from GUESS; Silver Bracelet from Forever 21 ($3.99); Silver Flower Pearled Ring ($6.80) and Silver Square Ring from Forever 21; Black & Aqua bebe Sunglasses.
NAKED Palette from Urban Decay (Virgin); Blue Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner from Wet & Wild (#862A); Black Eye Pencil from MAC Cosmetics; XXL Pro Mascara Step1 & The Falsies Mascara from Maybelline New York; Blush from NARS Cosmetics (Orgasm); MAC Cosmetics Lipstick (Something New); Studio Tech Foundation & Studio Fix Compact Powder from MAC Cosmetics. Nail color from Essie (Fiesta).
Adopt the Black and White Trend adding a pop of bright colors like Hot Pink and Royal Blue. Learn how to combine Houndstooth Leggings with a white Peplum Top.

Creative Visualization is the technique used to bring your dreams and goals into reality by imaging everything you want and desire. We all have the power of creating anything we want in our lives; the key relies on learning how to visualize. In many previous articles I have discussed the importance of monitoring our thoughts and changing our mindset. Many people are programmed to think and expect a negative outcome out of basically anything and everything. We are constantly doubting ourselves and it is like we are always feeling we are not good enough and do not deserve good things happening in our lives. And that is the mindset we need to change. Our minds are conditioned to think that way, but if we think for a minute, the most successful people in life do not put themselves barriers, they don’t think they can’t achieve or don’t deserve great things. Instead they are convinced they are special and they deserve anything they desire and beyond! Last week I talked about visualization at a personal level. I gave you an example on how I wanted to go in a different path than what the actual outcome was in reference to that particular situation. Not that I am not happy where I am at right now, I am thrilled! But if I would have really wanted what I said I wanted, I would have visualized that dream. Instead I was visualizing the opposite (which it is what I really wanted deep inside) and that was the outcome I precipitated. I went and studied Creative Visualization a little deeper and I put together a few tips to help you practice and master this incredible tool that was given to us. Our mind could be tricky and it could try to convince us we don’t have what it takes to make it. I highly recommend you work a little hard on deprogramming yourself from what you have been taught since you were born. Success is not reserved to a certain elite or group of people. Success is a common denominator we all have; it is just a matter of wanting to succeed and learning how to do it using our inner power. Let’s get out of that comfort zone and let’s create magic in our lives. Yesterday I read an interesting quote on Facebook that said: “Everybody wants a magical solution to their problems, but they all refuse to believe in magic”. We all say we want success and perfect provision in our lives, but do we really believe we can achieve them or that we even deserve them? Let’s stop contradicting ourselves and let’s stop procrastinating…Act NOW!
2. Start compiling a few pictures of what you want. I learned this years ago, and I remember how excited I used to get collecting these pictures and imaging myself enjoying my dream. For example, if you want a car, get a picture of the car you want including color, model, features, etc. If what you want is to graduate from school, get pictures of someone graduating extremely happy and put your face on it. Make a board and put them there.
3. Look at your board everyday and try to make a connection between the pictures you see and your feelings. Try to feel happiness, joy and excitement when you see them.
4. Set a few minutes aside every night before going to bed to visualize your dream. I would say to spend about 10 minutes imaging what you want. Recreate a scene and try adding as many details as possible.
5. Declare positive statements and decrees. It is important to say either in your mind or out loud positive statements upon your dreams and goals. Doing Decrees and practicing Visualization are an incredible combination! I personally start my decrees by saying “I declare (your wish). In harmony with everyone and in accordance with Divine Will. Under the Creator’s Grace and in a Perfect Way. Thank you Father because you always listen to me”. You could also refer to my article How to Ask God for Something: The New Way to Pray.

Now that Winter is almost over and beautiful Spring is approaching is time to start preparing our skin and our face to go through this transition making sure we look radiant and beautiful after suffering the ravages of a rough winter. Having healthy and beautiful lips is a must. The cold weather could really damage its skin making it look dry and wrinkled due to over exposure to extreme temperatures as well as dehydration. I put together a few tips to help you improve the appearance of your lips.
How to Get Smooth & Beautiful Lips
1. Brush you lips with your toothbrush. Rinse your toothbrush after brushing your teeth and gently brush your lips with it. Do this once or twice a day.
2. Use Lip Balm or Petroleum Jelly. Avoid licking your lips, instead apply a lip balm. I do not recommend the use of sugary lip glosses as a treatment for dry lips, since they will do the opposite job.
3. Hydrate. Drink plenty of fluids on a daily basis. It is recommended to daily drink at least 8 glasses of water.
4. Sugar and Lip Balm. For a great exfoliator mix a teaspoon of sugar with a little bit of your favorite lip balm and massage your lips for about 2 minutes. Remove with lukewarm water. Proceed to apply more of just your lip balm. Try this once a week.
5. Lip Mask. Try applying a lip mask once a week. Mix ½ a teaspoon of carrot juice with ½ a teaspoon of sour cream. Apply on your lips for 15 minutes and then rinse.
Easter Glamour is my personal approach to a Spring fresh look and an Easter Outfit. I wanted to create a classy Easter look, meaning wearing a dress and also pastel colors. So I went for a romantic kind of style incorporating lace fabric, polka dots tights and a messy donut bun. I love soft pastel colors as well as lace, that is why I felt in love with this Love Culture Lace Skater Dress in a mint green color. I felt this dress is really fresh and at the same time it brings a real girly and romantic approach. I chose to combine mint green with orange, so I added my chained clutch also from Love Culture. As I said before, I also added polka dots tights in a nude color featuring mint green dots all around. I chose my accessories in gold, complementing the look with a donut bun and a really hot smoking makeup! I tried to balance the softness and sweetness of the pastel colors mixed with the lace and the polka dots, at the same time I throw hints of a strong and a bright color like orange along with a super dramatic eye makeup.
Mint Green Lace Skater Dress from Love Culture ($32.90); Sheer Small Dots Tights from EXPRESS ($16.90); Tazed Too Pumps from Fergie in Graphite; Orange Clutch from Love Culture; Pink Flower Earrings from Forever 21 ($3.80); Orange/Gold Bracelet; Gold Cuff Watch from the Sofia Vergara’s Collection; Bow Orange Ring from Love Culture; Flower Ring from Forever 21 ($3.99).
NAKED Palette from Urban Decay (Naked); Milani Eyeshadows (Moonlight & Atlantis); Sebastian Trucco Duo Eyeshadow (Manhattan Mermaid); Line Stiletto Black Liquid Eyeliner from Maybelline New York; Black Eye Pencil from MAC Cosmetics; XXL Pro Mascara Step1 & The Falsies Mascara from Maybelline New York; Bronzer from Bobbi Brown (brownie); MAC Cosmetics Lipstick (Ravishing); Studio Tech Foundation & Studio Fix Compact Powder from MAC Cosmetics. Nail color from Revlon (Coastal Surf #170).
Wear mint green and orange for a romantic eyecatching Easter Outfit! Just slip into a comfy skater dress and pair it with neutral pumps and a bright chained clutch. Complement the look with a donut bun and this hot smoking makeup!!!!
In order to create Happiness and lots of Blessings in our lives, we must have a positive attitude and remain expecting good things. Today I feel re-energized and so ecstatic! Lately I have been experiencing a burst of Happiness, Blessings, and soooo much Love, like I haven’t felt in a while, to the point that I am trying to figure out where is all this coming from? I know this is the result of positive thinking and good behavior, since we all know our thoughts and our actions rule our life, but I guess I just want to know what exactly caused this chain of great events that God has blessed me with. Last night I had the great opportunity of meeting with two of who I consider my sisters from different blood, and today I couldn’t be happier and thankful for being able to spend time with them. This made me reflect in the importance of having great people in our lives and once again I am convinced human beings need to coexist with one another. We can’t do it alone… it’s in our nature to be surrounded by people and be able to coexist side by side. I feel blessed to have so many people I love and love me back, and also I feel so blessed for being able to receive so many great things in my life. So after thinking it over, I concluded my scrutiny with some points I would like to share with you:
How to Create Happiness and Blessings
1. In order to receive you must give. If you want to be loved, you MUST love first. Just love, love, love!
2. Concentrate only on the positive. Even when things go wrong, focus on the one that are going right and if nothing is going right, try to expect something positive out of the whole situation.
3. Be grateful. Appreciate everything you have and always be and feel thankful. Make sure to express it as well, as soon as you wake up, through out the day and before going to bed.
4. Do not focus on your lacks. I have been trying really hard not focus on this, instead I choose to think my needs are all covered for the day. When you concentrate on your lacks you are sending the Universe those worries therefore you will get more of those lacks and things won’t get better.
5. Enjoy. Feel the joy of receiving good things even if they haven’t come yet. Expect great things and they will come! I can guarantee you that!!!
